Empowering the visually impairedThe Hein Wagner Academy has partnered with numerous public and private sector organisations to offer specialised training and accreditation for the visually impaired. Our Cyber Sentinel learnerships provides extensive soft-skills and international certifications from industry leaders like Cisco, AWS, CompTIA, Microsoft and Fortinet for approved learners.

Absa-funded 2025 Learnership
Our April 2025 intake of the HWA cyber security programme is funded by Absa Bank Limited. This learnership offers visually-impaired learners an opportunity to acquire necessary skills as well as on-the-job training and routes to permanent employment.

The Hein Wagner Academy aims to empower, not exclude. We have a few prerequisites, but our sponsored or funded learnerships also impose distinct rules from our different benefactors.
If you are an innovative, tech-savvy, visually-impaired individual who’s eager to obtain local and international accreditation and training in the IT and cyber security field – please reach out so we can discuss routes for your personal academic and professional journey and accreditation.
International accreditation for ALL visually impaired learners
The Hein Wagner Academy relies on public and private sector investment to provide sponsored training for the visually impaired in the IT and cyber security sectors. As one of the few organisations that offers cyber security certificaiton from industry leaders like AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA and Fortinet for the visually impaired, we also welcome applicants who want to enter the programme via alternate routes.
If you don’t want to enter via a learnership, have private funding available, or already have some accreditation you can use to motivate your entry into the programme, please get in touch to discuss your options.
